Executive Summary
The Mpilonhle Mobile 50x15 Learning Lab is part of the Mpilonhle Health and Computer Training Project. A novel feature of this learning lab is the use of a mobile unit consisting of two custom-designed trailers that caravan behind a van to bring the testing and training directly to the students’ doorsteps. The mobile units provide each student with four annual 90-minute computer training sessions on health education emphasizing HIV prevention, an individual health screening session that includes voluntary HIV testing, and nursing and social work services. These sessions are supplemented by access to the computer labs during break periods, school holidays and weekends.

Executive Summary
Through the 50x15 Initiative, AMD is playing a leadership role in the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) program. NEPAD provides a vision and a strategic framework for Africa’s renewal. 50x15 Learning Labs are playing a critical part in aligning technology and knowledge to further this effort. AMD has assembled a team of 15 companies to provide an end-to-end solution for three schools in Uganda.

Executive Summary
Meninos do Morumbi is a diverse after-school program in São Paulo, Brazil that empowers children through the use of music, dance, and percussion. Founded by Flavio Pimenta, the organization gives children of all ages the opportunity to participate in eclectic song and dance, and also provides exposure to the arts, sports, the English language, and digital inclusion.

Executive Summary
The e-Poupatempo Learning Lab in São Paulo, Brazil, is a highly successful implementation of the 50x15 Initiative that uses technology to enhance public services for a large, growing population. Working with the government of São Paulo, AMD and other partners developed a computer installation, centered on Personal Internet Communicator (PIC) systems, that enables users to conduct government business more quickly and easily.

Executive Summary
In March 2006, the AMD Learning Lab named after Social Center Nossa Senhora das Graças (CSG) was launched in the low-income community of Jardim Conceição, São Paulo, Brazil. The primary objective of this Learning Lab is to empower this São Paulo community to create and implement a business plan that will generate enough funds to sustain the CSG Digital Inclusion Center (DIC). The project is a follow-up to the very successful World Economic Forum (WEF) pilot called ITAFE (IT Access For Everyone).

Executive Summary
All 50x15 Learning Labs are designed to test distinct aspects of digital inclusion. While there are many digital inclusion programs targeted at professionals, adolescents, and children, senior citizens are a key demographic that has been largely ignored in the digital revolution. This issue is magnified by growing life expectancies around the world that will lead to a large number of unconnected seniors. To address this issue, AMD joined forces with a non-governmental organization (NGO) called Cidade Escola Aprendiz to collaborate on a Learning Lab project for digital inclusion of seniors in São Paulo, Brazil.

Executive Summary
The Diepsloot Combined Secondary School is based in an informal settlement called Diepsloot in Northern Johannesburg, South Africa. This community was established in 1993 when squatters settled on unoccupied land and built shacks in the area. An impoverished settlement, Diepsloot is now home to an estimated 800,000 people.
