1 – 3	World Summit on Innovation & Entrepreneurship (WSIE): "Our Future. Inspired by Innovation." - Dubai, UAE The WSIE is a bi-annual forum that addresses issues facing entrepreneurs and innovators worldwide. The goal of the summit is to develop practical solutions to the most important issues facing emerging nations as well as to inspire the development of the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators. AMD's Dan Shine, 50x15 Vice President and 50x15 Foundation President, will lead a session entitled "Living in a High-Speed Connected World: The Shape of Innovations to Come."
January 2008
7-10	CES International - Las Vegas, NV The International Consumer Electronics Show is produced by the Consumer Electronics Association, the preeminent trade association promoting growth in the consumer technology industry. AMD’s Dan Shine, 50x15 Vice President and 50x15 Foundation President, will participate in the “Technology and Emerging Countries” session, a high-profile program focusing on technology partnerships and investments that support successful development projects in emerging countries.

4-6	TED Global 2007: Africa: The Next - Arusha, Tanzania An extension of the TED Conference, TED Global is a biannual event that will take place in Africa for the first time. The program line-up will include 50 speakers including experts from various fields who are all doing something valuable for Africa’s future. ADM’s Chairman and CEO, Hector Ruiz, will be a featured speaker at the “Connecting the Content” session. Dan Shine, 50x15 Vice President will also be attending.

9 – 10	Arab World Competitiveness Roundtable – Doha, Qatar The roundtable is a discussion of the WEF’s 2007 Arab World Competitiveness Report involving top policy makers and business leaders. The report is a major driver of efforts to advance economic reform in the region.

13	South by Southwest - Austin, TX South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of interactive, film, and music festivals and conferences that take place every spring in Austin, Texas. AMD’s Dan Shine, 50x15 Vice President and 50x15 Foundation President, will be taking part in this year’s event.
7 – 10	TED Conference: “Icons. Geniuses. Mavericks - Monterey, CA TED (Technology Entertainment Design) is an annual conference that brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers. AMD’s Chairman and CEO, Hector Ruiz and Dan Shine, 50x15 Vice President and 50x15 Foundation President will be attending.
6	TED University - Monterey, CA Forty-seven TED attendees teach classes on a wide variety of subjects. This event will include participation from AMD's Dan Shine, 50x15 Vice President and 50x15 Foundation President.

28	UN Meets Silicon Valley - Mountain View, CA The United Nations meets the Silicon Valley to explore how technology and industry can bolster development.
20	DFI Public/Private Sector Roundtable - Washington, DC The President's Digital Freedom Initiative (DFI) aims to harness the strengths of the U.S. public and private sectors to help the developing world utilize information and communication technologies (ICTs) to resolve development challenges. The initiative involves multiple federal agencies, the private sector, non-profit organizations, and universities.

24-28	World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2007 – Davos, Switzerland World Economic Forum summits bring decision-makers together to address the world's most crucial issues. This event enables members and constituents to discuss global and regional issues by sharing first-hand information and insights. This event will include participation from AMD’s Chairman and CEO Hector Ruiz and Tom McCoy, Executive Vice President, Legal Affairs, and Chief Administrative Officer.
